Summary0004180: Text not flowing properly into next linked frame
DescriptionUsing linked frames, the entered text doesn't flow to the next linked frame.

When I found this the first time, the text that didn't flow correctly... appeared to be reversed to right to left format - apparently mirrored.

The next time I found that it just didn't display.

The simple work-round is to slightly resize the original text frame and then return it to it's original size. The flowed text then displays correctly in the next frame.
Steps To ReproduceLink 2 frames and type sufficient to exceed the first frames capacity.
Additional InformationThis was noticed using direct entry into the text frame. It was not done with the story editor.

Looks similar to 0003633. Though I didn't realize it was just a display issue and could be corrected.

With the resolution of 0003633 the reversal of chars has gone (this was not a mere display issue).

What happens now is that the overflown text is not shown unless the user clicks into the second frame (or anywhere outside the first frame).

I still have this issue in version 1.3.3.7

The workaround doesn't work however. Doing a lot of editing in linked frames always leads to a complete loss of all the text after one certain frame.

Edited: Diagonally resizing does not work. Changing the height of the last frame with text works as a workaround.

This issue is quite similar to 0005817 which has been fixed in 1.3.3.10svn recently. A snapshot with the fix can be downloaded on sourceforge at :

No in fact this issue is quite different from 0005817.
