No, I just imported a file with styles and tried to apply them. Doesn't work.

if you apply a style to old text you need to use the sweeper first

This needs documentation. Otherwise the mailing list will be flooded with calls for help.

While we're at it, maybe it would help to document where that "sweeper" tool actually is? I just spent 15 minutes rummaging through all menus, tool bars, and settings (searched Google, too), and no trace of anything that looks, smells, or sounds like a "sweeper". Makes it kinda hard to apply it.

Hehe, you didnt see the two new icons next to the style combo boxes in properties palette?
Maybe your properties palette is too small? Do you have a horizontal scrollbar in the text tab?

trohlfing: reading my last note again, I hope you didnt feel offended.

You are right that this new feature needs to be properly documented.

Did you find the sweeper icons now?

avox: no offense taken. just had to downgrade to 1.3.3.6 to finish some project.

Yes, I did find the sweeper now. The properties palette was not one of the places where I suspected the tool (I was looking in program menus, toolboxes, and the Story Edit dialog). Thanks!

Not going to bother to test this now, all versions mentioned are ages old, resolving.
