Summary | 0016571: Freenode IRC has been taken over; advise to move the channel to libera.chat or oftc
Description | As a user being part of the #scribus IRC-channel on Freenode, I'm concerned about the development of that network. It has been taken over by a person who bought a company and has forced the staff to resign. Now the network has new staff, who have questionable backgrounds. Also has there been changes in the policies, quickly to made drafts. Those changes are currently used to gain access to channels that belong(ed) to people or communities that have stated to move. The same changes reflect the stance against inclusion of people and at best have a shady definition of unlawfulness. Policy changes: https://github.com/freenode/web-7.0/pull/513 Other references: - https://libera.chat/ - https://kline.sh/ -
