Summary0006123: Scribus doesn't read the style-setting of a textframe (if it did any text erased w/in it would still preserve style)
DescriptionIf I copy+paste a textbox just to duplicate it to use the style inside and select all the text in the new box and delete all the contents, the box forgets its font and paragraph settings. It would be nice if I could duplicate textboxes with preserved styles, because type settings is a real misery in scribus.

I think the problem is no problem. On selecting you select paragraph sign, too. I think this sign contains the style, no the bounding box, doesn't it, dear Scribus guru.

When applying style/text settings to a text frame, you are just applying the selected parameters to the text inside, the frame itself does not truly have styles except the default ones which are used as a base for text rendering.

I think what the poster wants is when the default settings are edited within that frame, and the text frame duplicated, the settings remain for a new text. Sounds reasonable to me.

Yep, i understand that, but currently style settings (even defaults) are not stored directly at frame level.

Renamed the ticket and made it a feature instead of a minor issue
