Summary0010159: Baseline behaviour is awkward when character height is of similar value
DescriptionNote.using 140rc4

Steps To Reproduce1 open new document
2 set document preferences (guide. align to baseline)
examplebaseline value is 15pt
3 define style, align to baseline, set ch height to 22pt / 25pt

the result onscreen is that the lines are too close together, I'd very subjectively expect Scribus to skip every other line. Issue is more that in fact I could not find a suitable workaround - which would respect the baseline.
In the same document I may have a need for a reasonably narrow baseline at 10pt but styles with taller glyphs then cannot be aligned to the baseline... unless I've got something to learn from the UI

i wonder if it would correct to skip lines...

i mean: correct in every case?

i see that it may be practical in some cases, but always correct?

imo, the solution would be to have multiple baselines in a document... or even on a page. but it's not easy to define how it should work...

I am wondering if a check if x-height (baseline - meanline) is superior to baseline THEN skip would be enough? Support for multiple baselines does not sound like a clever choice.

The issue is mostly that using the linespacing you end up with your titles misaligned. Only possible workaround I found is to create separate text boxes if your large size text needs more than one line, not convenient, but with linked text frames it's OK
