Summary0012336: Enabling/Disabling Drop Shadow does not update canvas view until the item is deselected
DescriptionEnabling/Disabling Drop Shadow does not update canvas view until the item is deselected.
Steps To Reproduce0) Create a new document and open Windows > Action History
1) Insert a Shape
2) Select the Shape and Properties > Drop Shadow: enable "Has Drop Shadow"
Do not deselect the Shape on Canvas

3) Change any of the properties of the Shape
The Shape preview on Canvas is not updated until its deselected.
Now if you Undo/Redo to Initial State the Shape is correctly displayed.

Same happens when "Drop Shadow" is disabled.

In my case, after enabling drop shadow, ANY change on ANY object does not get updated any more until you restart scribus. Then it works again until you enable another drop shadow.

It works here (1.5 on debian wheezy) as described by FirasH. I would promote to have an automatic update when any shadow property is changed. The idea is : how can you easily know the blur you want without seeing it ? (unless you know it perfectly). Question is : how heavy will it be ?

If that might help the issue was likely introduced with rev 19142 as I described in 0012314.
