Summary | 0002444: How to delete history before saving and exporting
Description | I would like to know if it is possible to delete the history of a file before saving it and exporting it? I have seen that a file which has been worked on a lot, becomes very large when you want to save it. However, if you just insert the text without formating it much, the file becomes much smaller. Thus, my question above. Thanks. :) Katrine

There is no history per se stored in the file. Undo/Redo is stored in memory. Hyphenation can grow the file size quite a bit, but this is a known issue which is being worked on. Removing unused colors can shrink a file as well as optionally compressing the file. Scribus files compress *very* well. If you are thinking in terms of the way other DTP apps store changes, in this case it does not apply. |
