Christoph, which Qt ? eg rpm -qi qt3

I can't replicate here with Suse 10.0 and Qt 3.3.5-28

Hmmm, that's strange. I closed the weird document, opened a new one and this time it worked once, but for the second master page I got two copied frames. In the previous doc, I had up to five copies of the same frame.

OK, more weirdness. In a new doc, I got 3 frames after copy'n' paste. After deleting two of them and applying the "trait_de_coupe.py" script to the remaining one, the frame was duplicated and the copy shifted to the right. Also, trait_de_coupe.py only draws horizontal lines. I think I'll remove my cvs directory and start a fresh checkout. More reports after rebuilding from that one.

Did a fresh checkout, installed in a new directory. No improvement.

Craig, can try to repeat this several times, i. e. creating some master paster pages and constantly pasting the frame from the clipboard?

I think u need to come up with an exact procedure because I just created 5 new MPs, and pasted randomly an object from a normal page and master page into 4 or 5 new ones.. I only get what I expect to paste.

Well, there's hardly more to describe than what I already did. The behaviour doesn't always occur, but sooner or later it will -- here.

Could it be a problem of the clipboard? I just tried again and got six frames copies from there.

Update: the issue turns up with all copied objects once scribus is run for a longer time. I still can't tell the point at which it all starts.

The saga continues: After playing a bit with a fresh document, Scribus didn't copy and paste anything. Exception: right click > drag > copy worked. Afer noticing this on the canvas, I copied again, switched to a master page, tried to insert the copy: nothing. After switching back to the canvas, all pages were invisible, I could only see the forms I had created before. It was necessary to insert a page to bring the other pages back.

christoph_s, how does it look on your SuSE10? Just in case ... If SuSE10 works ok, i think it would be wasted time to debug a distro/qt version, that will be history very soon.

Please leave this open. I recall having seen the issue with SuSE 10.0 too but I haven't seen it for quite a while now. Maybe it's solved with 1.3.3.1, maybe not.
