Summary | 0003443: Scrapbook eps don't undo correctly
Description | When you add an image from your Scrapbook and you undo it, it undoes every element of the illustration.

I have tried to reproduce it and encountered some other weirdness while adding an EPS image from the scrapbook (takes some seconds to add an eps image from scrapbook, see the attached scapbook object object2.sce -- this is on win32 with 1.3.3), but I don't really know what you mean -- could you be more specific? |
|
It is with vector images, not "bitmaps". I would believe that all parts of the vector image are added one after another. To me it seems clear that every step of this adds an entry to the undo system. Undoing deletes one part after another until the object is "totally 'undoed'" |
|
well, i've tried it as described with EPS images, which are vectors, right? so, what happens exactly, when you try to undo? What kind of "illustration" do you mean? |

Try adding this to you scrapbook dir. DrapNdrop it to the canvas and begin undoing. You should see the image being undoed by steps. This is really as clear as I can go. Otherwise, join me on IRC. |

I've tried it with your blender logo and cannot confirm this behaviour with scribus 1.3.3 on win32 -- undo removes only one element of the vector image. I've tried it with an SVG image from http://linux.hanski.info/static/scribus_promotion/scribus-icon2.svg too -- everything works as desired. |
|
Reminder sent to: peter, can you confirm this on suse 10? |

New Undo system is about to land in CVS..It's worth testing after its in. It will fix many undo related issues and expand undo features. |
|
Will be fixed soon. There are most likely some other user actions that behaves like this cause the undo implementation works on the lowest possible level and thus it separates all the actions involved in fe. dragging an item from scrap book. These are quite easy to fix with an undo transaction. I've just added the new undo system and will start looking into issues like this. |
