Summary | 0006885: Add a CMYK color palette in the Edit > Color dialog
Description | We need a CMYK color palette from which to pick any color when working in CMYK. This palette could be made in increments of 5 or 10 % for each color. There should be no color names, only the CMYK values. Ultimately we could try to rely on color reference books by a vendor. This is important for checking how colors will actually print, especially if color management is turned off. If this proves to be impossible because of licence issues, then stick with the 5 or 10 % increment method. Not perfect but better than nothing. Also, the palette itself could benefit by being presented to the user in rows and columns instead of just a long list. The cmyk values as the names of the colors could be just underneath each swatch. That way, the eye would be presented a wider palette at a glance and it would be easier to pick the color you want by just clicking on it.

Btw, Scribus is already shipped with the OO.o CMYK colour palette, it's just not the default option. |
