Summary | 0007663: network inline image path wrong
Description | copy and pasting an imageframe into results in a placeholder imageframe at the right position, but grayed out and with no image on it.
Steps To Reproduce | place an image from your desktop in a document - copy and paste it into a textframe -> works place an image from the network in a document - copy and paste THAT into a textframe -> path is screwed up and yu see no preview, only the placeholder in your textframe.
Additional Information | looked up the stuff in a texteditor, and it seems as if the path is entered twice instead of relative like that: "l:\projects\.. c:\dokuments and settings\...\image.png" instead of "/material/image.png"

seems to work fine in the linux version (1.3.5svn) |
Can someone reproduce this? |
Don't have a network to test this with. Anyone can test on 1.6.2 or 1.7.0 ? |
I don't know if I understand the problem correctly, but... I can't reproduce on Windows 10, Scribus 1.6.2 <FRAMEOBJECT InID="2187" XPOS="0" YPOS="0" OwnPage="-1" ItemID="177271464" PTYPE="2" WIDTH="176.433070866142" HEIGHT="118" FRTYPE="0" CLIPEDIT="0" PWIDTH="1" PLINEART="1" LOCALSCX="0.75" LOCALSCY="0.75" LOCALX="-365.089238845145" LOCALY="-220.325459317585" LOCALROT="0" PICART="1" SCALETYPE="1" RATIO="1" Pagenumber="0" PFILE="//vehiszerver/PUBLIC_02/FOTO/2009/2009_disznovagas/20100220_disznovagas.JPG" IRENDER="0" EMBEDDED="0" path="M0 0 L176.433 0 L176.433 118 L0 118 L0 0 Z" copath="M0 0 L176.433 0 L176.433 118 L0 118 L0 0 Z" isInline="1" gXpos="0" gYpos="0" gWidth="176.433070866142" gHeight="118" LAYER="0" NEXTITEM="-1" BACKITEM="-1"/> Textframe (this contain image) and the network path: PFILE="//vehiszerver/PUBLIC_02/FOTO/2009/2009_disznovagas/20100220_disznovagas.JPG" Work for me (path is in UNC mode) |
i gave it a try: i could not even see the network driver... |
PFILE="Z:/test/20100220_P1040530.JPG" It also works with an image loaded from a network drive. Server: Ubuntu 18.04 Client: Windows 10 |
> Work for me (path is in UNC mode) > It also works with an image loaded from a network drive. @PeterBenedek so does that mean that you can't reproduce the issue reported in 0003096 |
I can only partially reproduce. Drives with a letter appear in the drive list (Look in:), but drives without a letter do not (UNC). By entering the full UNC path in the "File name" field, the files are available. |
on the second try, i could insert an image from a network driver with a letter (N:\...), also as an inline image in a text frame. |
